Parent and Guardian Engagement

Building Partnerships, Working as a Team

Your Role and Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are integral to the educational process. Through communication with staff and daily support, you play a critical role in helping students meet program expectations and successfully navigate the different phases of the PEP journey.

The PEP Program considers parents and guardians partners in the student’s educational success. We welcome active parental and guardian involvement, whether attending meetings, sharing skills and talents, or collaborating with our staff to support academic growth and social-emotional well-being.

Expectations of Parents and Guardians

  • Attend all PEP events
  • Complete required documentation, such as forms and permission slips, promptly
  • Communicate openly with PEP staff regarding any student-related concerns
  • Notify PEP if the student will be absent or late
  • Notify PEP of individualized school meetings to discuss the student’s academic progress
  • Ensure the student meets all program expectations
